Merida Cosplay

Description

Another costume, which broke my previous record. This dress was actually made in a day and a half. Rather then basing it on the movie, I got permission from the person who ordered it to base it more on the face character design from the parks. So that's why there's a pattern on it and more details with the ribbons holding on the sleeves. The back also has a lace up part so that no zipper is required to put on the dress and it's adjustable.

The under shirt is actually sewn in by request, because conventions are warm and it's easy to overheat. So I cheated and only sewed it into the spots where it could be seen.

smart only sewing the underdress to the spots where it's seen. I did the same thing with my cosplay and honestly, it's a lot easier to keep it in line with the overdress that way. I've seen other Merida cosplays where they slip and slide around because the pieces are separate.
Also, nice job with the details and composition. The tartan is a nice touch as well.
